1976 Studios Herge Artwork Design: Gypsy Caravan in Black Ink Original Tintin
Awesome, 100% Original Studios Hergé drawing/design of Gypsy Caravan in Black Indian Ink.
This was a design for the 1976 "Tintin Painting and Drawing" Book series printed in Belgium by Casterman, and in the UK by Methuen. As such, it was by Hergé and his assistants at the Studios Hergé in Brussels in around 1975/6, and cannot be considered SOLELY a piece by Hergé himself. The layout was most likely done by Herge's assistants and the ink work on this was conclusively Herge.
For provenance/certification: In a few of the photos you will see a printed letter from the original seller, Olivier Van Houte, who is a recognised expert on Hergé's work. This design doesn't have the Studios Herge stamp on the top, but it is clearly marked in handwriting saying "Bijou 8" which certifies the design and what use it was drawn for.
